Acid and alkali resistant safety shoes are suitable for mines, coal mines, forestry, electric power, petrochemical industries, etc. Safety shoes have the functions of protecting the toes, preventing puncture, anti-slip and acid and alkali. Generally, how to detect acid and alkali-resistant safety shoes. The test of safety shoes implements the standard GB/T20991-2007 test method of personal protective equipment shoes.

Acid and alkali corrosion resistance requirements of safety shoes

When class II shoes are evaluated according to the test method and evaluation in GB/T20991-2007, the corrosion area of the metal protective toe cap shall not exceed 5, and the area of no place shall not exceed 2.5mm²

Class II shoes refer to shoes that are all rubber (ie fully vulcanized) or all polymer materials (ie fully molded).

Test method for acid and alkali resistant safety shoes

Acid and alkali corrosion test of metal toe cap

1. Preparation of the sample

Use the whole shoe as a sample.

2. Test solution

Use 1% sodium chloride solution.

3. Steps

Pour a sufficient amount of test solution into the sample to a depth of 150mm. To reduce volatilization, cover the top of the shoe, which can be covered with polyethylene. Leave it for 7 days, and then pour out the test solution. Remove the protective toe cap or anti-puncture pad from the shoe and check for any signs of corrosion. If there is corrosion, measure the area (mm²) of each corrosion mark and record the number of such areas.
